The Victorian Government is investing $360,000 to deliver important road maintenance work on Todd Road in Port Melbourne.<\/p>\n

What we\u2019re doing<\/h4>\n\n

We\u2019re delivering significant road rehabilitation works on Todd Road between Cook Street and Wharf Road.

Road\n rehabilitation is the most extensive type of maintenance work that we \nundertake to repair the road surface, as it involves the replacing of \nboth the pavement and road surface layers.

This work is being \ncompleted as part of the Victorian Government\u2019s $780 million investment \nin the state\u2019s road maintenance program.

<\/p>\n

What you can expect<\/h4>\nFrom 8pm on Friday 12 May until 8pm Sunday 14 May, Todd Road will be \nclosed in both directions from the Cook Street intersection to the Wharf\n Road roundabout.

Crews will be working all weekend continuously, including night works, to get the job done faster and to minimise disruption.

Detours will be in place throughout the duration of works. Please plan ahead and allow up to an extra 15 minutes of travel time as you move through the area via the signed detours.

There will be no road access to the West Gate Park carpark and businesses within the works zone whilst we\u2019re on site, with access to be maintained via the footpaths.

There will be medium to high noise levels while we complete these works.

There will be some vibrations and dust around work areas while we remove the existing layer of the road, lay new asphalt, and reinstate the road.

Road rehabilitation requires dry, temperate weather conditions when removing and relaying the road surface. Works are subject to weather conditions, and the dates may change to accommodate adverse weather.

Public transport impacts<\/h4>\n

Route 606 buses will operate as normal, with traffic management on site to escort buses through the works zone.

Routes 235 and 237 along Lorimer Street may experience some delays due to higher traffic volumes.
